“There is good news for both federal agencies and students,” said Kortney Kutsop. The survey revealed that undergraduate students selected government as their number one employer choice. This has held steady, as government as been in the top 3 choices for the last five years.

However, cautioned Kutsop, federal employers do need to find creative and innovative ways to “attract graduates with technical degrees, versus liberal arts degrees.” Another challenge is salary expectations for students. The survey results show that base salary expectations are high.
