Salvador Segura explained that IBM wants their candidates to have access to rich information about our company at the time they are making their decision about our offer of employment. IBM created a ‘pre-hire website’ in which the candidate can find information about the first days at IBM, company values, history, compensation and benefit programs, career opportunities, and an overview of new employee training. The goal of IBM’s pre-hire website, stated Salvador Segura, is “to make candidates start to feel connected to IBM.” The pre-hire website is an extranet, not an intranet; the candidate does not require any special user id or password to access the page and it includes a series of tools that are useful to new hires.
