Start a blog written by the CEO (no corporate rhetoric, please!) like Zappos. Create an internal Twitter profile for ongoing, real-time communication between all employees. Start employee blogs (internally and externally). Create employee groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Offer social media training (how to preserve your online reputation and act ethically in the age of the social web). Don’t try to “do social media on the side.” It’s a full-time job. Commit or don’t bother. |
