Beginning with a “light” onboarding version that will succeed quickly has merits. Then consider adding enhancements underway, advised Parkin Kent at Kaiser Associates, to get the program off the ground more quickly, and to build on early success.

A key part of implementation is preparing stakeholders to fulfill their responsibilities. Finding the right people to implement and facilitate a train the trainer for mentors, peers and managers, can “make or break” the experience new hires have.
