Government facing significant branding challenges in the employment marketplace. A 2008 study on Global Human Capital from IBM, across all sectors, showed that what matters most to job candidates does differ from public to private entities. “No one is worried that government is going out of business, so job security isn’t a huge concern to federal job candidates. But those same candidates want to know that they’ll be challenged and developed, something they aren’t as concerned about in the private sector.” He added that federal agencies should work to brand for the long term need to attract talent. |
