John Deere, founded in 1837 and now a Fortune 500 Company, has approximately 56,500 employees globally; they are the world’s leading provider of advanced products and services for agriculture & forestry.

Dr. Mindy Moye, Manager of Employee Engagement at John Deere, talked with HCI members about how onboarding is a critical piece in the company’s talent management strategy. Moreover, at John Deere, their thorough onboarding addresses three groups of talent:

  • New executives who come from outside the company
  • Executives who are newly promoted from within into their leadership role
  • All new salaried hires
John Deere’s comprehensive onboarding initiative goes a long way to drive talent engagement throughout the entire enterprise.
