“You had me at hello”- Executive Engagement through Effective Onboarding

EMC customizes onboarding according to the level of the new executive; an EVP is the President of a Division, a SVP is a top operating officer, and a VP is a group head. While there had been a period when EVP’s weren’t being hired, recently EVP onboarding increased significantly with the launch of building new businesses. For all executive levels, initial attention is given to make sure the executive’s family is settled in their new location. Then, intensive onboarding in the new or re-deployed executive’s first two weeks begins.
